Update and Some Paranormalogistically Related Thoughts

It has been a while since I actually wrote anything for this blog except for reposting a few excellent pieces from fellow bloggers. However, I have had some things rolling around in my head for a while and if I don’t get some of it out, my head may explode. My other life…maintaining a country property, flower and vegetable gardens, and some chronic health conditions, have kept me continuously fatigued and in no way eager to do any kind of writing. I do have a few things I’m working on and will post those here when they are ready. I do expect to keep on reblogging interesting and well-written articles. I do this daily in other social media outlets and see no reason not to share what I can here as well. I entirely believe in spreading the word and as it goes, I read voraciously every time I get a break. In fact, I escape into the paranormal, universal and quantum sciences as a way to unwind, relax and enjoy myself and as a reward for working through another tiring and painful day. A couple of things I want to say here have just been bugging me for a while and are not so much rants as a heads up. So here goes.

Do NOT buy used paranormal investigation equipment. I don’t care if you know the people who are selling it and trust them completely. Used equipment has been over used, abused, hooked, unhooked and put away wet time after time. By the time you get this stuff you can look forward to a dvr hard drive crash, batteries that won’t hold a charge, and others errors and break downs due to the rough road these electronics have already traveled. You might have scored an incredible deal on that fully loaded dvr but let a hard drive go down or something fry the whole damn thing and you have the expense of fixing it at a ridiculous fee and it will end up costing as much or more as a new unit would have. Buy it new with a warranty and if it fails then you might have some way to get it fixed without it killing your wallet. In the mean time, take care of what you have folks. This stuff doesn’t come cheap and it really isn’t meant for the uses and reuses we put it through, so be gentle with your “ghost hunting” gadgets.

I do think I’m just about done using the word “afterlife”. I believe I’ll start going with “nextlife”. The word afterlife has been so over said and prostituted by the news media, television and internet and delcared gazillions of times by paranormal investigators, including myself. The word itself makes no real sense to those of us who believe in life after physical bodily death…and parallel dimensions, alternate timelines and multiple universes. It indicates that the afterlife is later in time, whereas, the nextlife indicates another life next to this one, anywhere in time and immediately adjacent to or beside this physical life. I mean to say that this life and the next life and the previous life and on and on…are all next to each other rather than one after another. Maybe the word has just grated on me long enough just like the above detested “ghost hunter” reference.

Spelling. I recently received a request on a favorite social media website and when I went to check their profile, I found a two line description with four spelling errors. I did not scroll down to look at anything else, I just left. This particular group didn’t impress me as being the brightest lightbulbs in the package. Now hey…I’ll like just about any para page you can throw at me but seriously. There really is no excuse for this laziness in communication. I’ve seen this sloppy spelling and grammar increase a great deal recently and I just don’t understand why. I know I take creative license a lot with punctuation, especially commas, but it doesn’t look like a first grader wrote it either. So if you are not 100 percent sure how to spell something, look it up. Same goes for proof reading your work before you put it out there. Find the typos and fix them. If you want to be taken seriously at the outset, you cannot write that you are “A paranormul teem with grate skil for finding yor gosts and helping yor famly. We do no chagre for are survises we are hear to help yoo.” Ok…that may be a bit over the top but not by much from what I’ve seen around the net lately. Have some respect for yourselves folks, educate your mind. If you ever find a misspelled word or typographical error in my work, please let me know. Poetry doesn’t count 😉

So… since it seems that I am getting a whole lot more reading done than writing, I would love it if you posted a link to your paranormalogistically related blog or website in the comment section below. I will get to it eventually and very often I find something I will repost all over the place so bring it on. You can find me on the social media links to the right of this post, and there you’ll find tons of articles and blog posts that you won’t find here. And if you would like to add to the thoughts above please feel free to say what’s on your mind.

A Mental Challenge – Behavior & Perception

I  watch several criminology shows and some of the paranormal shows and movies now and then. “Getting into” the criminology shows sparked an interest in behavioral science and I’ve begun to dig deeper into the research. I know, it’s a part of psychology…but then again I’ve been researching quantum mechanics in relation to the paranormal. All related or interelated concepts.

When a paranormal investigator asks questions of unseen presences, when he/she asks who, what, where, when and why it is because they want to know the psychology of that presence. And they are generally attempting this without the use of all their senses. You rarely see the entity or feel it’s touch or even hear it at the time of questioning, but you just know it is there. You are picking up on some part of the psychology of that presence. When you lose one or more of your five physical senses then the others become more sensitive, including your sixth sense, and these levels of inner senses and instinct work harder to fill in the missing pieces.

Back to the tv shows.

Most of the time when one of these shows is recording on the DVR, I will have the volume muted and may be off in a daze thinking about something. But occasionally I have found myself watching the show muted only to watch it later with the sound and find that my perceptions and ideas were very close regarding what I believed to be happening in the show and what did actually happen.

Take any show that you watch with regularity, where you know the characters and their personalities and body language then apply this to new characters. Turn the sound off and watch the body language carefully. (You will pick up words anyway if you can read lips). See if you can work out what is going on based on what you can see only.

A bigger challenge lies in just how real it is…try this with things like the news or the weather channel shows, history and documentaries, shows where you don’t know the ‘history’ of the people involved…it’s all fair game in the quest to know why we behave the way we do.

Now watch it again with the volume. How close did you come? How close were your perceptions to what happened in the script and plot of the show?

You will get better at perceiving human psychology and behavior the more you practice this. This then makes you more empathic and sensitive to the people and situations around you all the time. Really look and listen to what is going on in your world. Use all of your senses and open your awareness to the psychology and behavior of others.

You will discover we really are not all that different from one another.

“If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.” ~ William Blake

Did That Just Happen?

Ghosts, spirits, entities, supernatural, paranormal, xenonormal…belief in a paranormal event plays an important role in how we interpret the reality of the event. A believer will be more likely to think an anomolous event to be paranormal. A skeptic will always have an excuse no matter how outrageous or uninformed. Belief plays a large part in what each one of us interprets as a paranormal event whether that be ghostly apparitions to U.F.O. sightings. But if you are truly interested in this field of study your personal beliefs cannot rule the show, and I’m including you hard-headed skeptics here. If you are serious about finding the truth,  you have to learn everything you can. Read, experiment, investigate, learn from people who have experience in the field and read and experiment and investigate some more.

If you learn all you can about your subject of interest, then you don’t go off reinventing the wheel so to speak. This applies to any field of endeavor. When you can get a grasp on what is already known, only then can you approach “objectively” what is unknown. I put quotes around that because a large part of the scientific community looks at paranormal happenings as subjective. More or less meaning that the phenomena can’t be proved by science by repeat performances inside some sterile, closed lab because experiences are in the observers head (and science hasn’t figured out how to bottle a spirit). The majority are not even sure consciousness exists. Of course, we who know the truth know a true skeptic will never believe in a ghost even if one ran him over.

I am a believer in paranormal phenomena and life after death because I’ve had many experiences and a few years of research and investigation under my belt, but my research is taking me into related fields such as psychology (psychologists who believe in paranormal phenomena are few and far between it seems), parapsychology, history, social sciences, electric and magnetic fields, weather systems, low frequency sound, cosmology, astronomy, a variety of quantum theories and most recently mind science and the list could go on.

So all I’m saying is keep an open mind, stay up to date on what’s new in the field as well as what has been learned by people who have been there and done that. Don’t be afraid to drop a belief that has been proven wrong. Explore topics on the human condition. That’s what we’re talking about here when we say ghost or spirit, is the human condition, in different condition than when it was in a living body here on Earth. Be aware of yourself in your reactions to anomolous events and make sure you don’t let your beliefs influence your findings. Above all keep searching for answers with integrity and respect and clear-minded thinking. We are all part of the learning process so let us keep our evidence of the paranormal unbiased, pure and thoroughly researched.

Is Ghost Hunting Thinning The Veil Between Dimensions?

If you’ve been doing paranormal research seriously for any length of time then you have probably noticed that you are capturing more and better evidence as time passes.  Over time and serious investigation I believe you open a doorway or gateway to yourself as a means to an end for the spirits.  Communication or manifestation being the end result.  I think the entities have to be able to trust you to a certain point to put forth the energy needed to manifest. And your personal energy has a lot to do with that.  Why would they waste energy on someone who was just playing at ghost hunting or could not control their emotional fears and ran (run dude!) at the first creek of a floorboard or a shadow passing by?

Just think, ghost research has become so popular world wide and all these people are investigating and watching and listening very closely to what is going on around them–concentrating their energy to experience a paranormal occurance.  All this must create its’ own form of energy.  And if spirits need an energy source to manifest…well then…..

I think our persistance in exploring the field of survival after bodily death is thinning the veil between dimensions and other worlds.  And I’m not just talking about ghosts, I’m talking about ufo’s and aliens, bigfoot, mothman, residual and object hauntings, attachments, psychic phenomena in all it’s beautiful range. The list could go on.

My experience thus far leads me to believe I have definately been noticed by our friends on the other side and that I am gaining their trust in my pursuit of answers as well as trying to get it out there and let people know what I am finding and feeling.  In fact, it’s getting to the point where I can capture evp almost anytime I turn on my recorder, wherever I may be.  I’m not saying everywhere I go is haunted but that it doesn’t seem to matter where you are if you have established a link.  And if they (the entities) can read minds like I feel they can, then they know ahead of time when you are going to record, film, take pictures, whatever. If you’ve ever gotten an answer before you asked the question, you get what I’m saying about the mind-reading.  Of course this phenomenon may have something to do with the discoveries in string theory or more recently m-theory but I’ll not get into that here.

I’ve read and heard of others worrying over this, bothered by seemingly becoming noticed by our deceased friends.  I say, don’t worry…that’s what you’re doing this for right?  To establish some sort of communication?  To find out what’s going on, figure out how any of this is even possible?  You should feel good about yourself for gaining the trust of the spirit world and opening up mentally and emotionally to their communications. If you keep the positive and respectful personal energy flowing then you will be a successful paranormal investigator- that is, if you stick it out, open the portal and establish the link.

If you are capturing more and increasingly better evidence as you explore and research, then I believe you are helping to thin whatever is separating us from profound and skeptic-convincing discoveries.

But this is just what I know to be true from my perspective and is just one of my theories.

Now I want to know if you have experienced some of these things in your investigations of the unknown.
